It’s amazing how living in another country you can understand with all your heart the culture of qigong. At the age of 14, I came across the ancient books of China. As soon as I came into contact with the philosophy of qigong, I felt that this is exactly how I think, this is exactly how I comprehend. The philosophy of qigong is harmony, naturalness, and the amazing powers that it reveals in you. it is peace, inspiration and joy. One day, after a long winter, I went out into the garden and decided to perform a new qigong complex. At the very beginning, a butterfly landed on me, and I didn’t touch it, continuing to perform the complex. The butterfly flew away only 10 minutes later, when I completed the last movement. This was a sign to me that my movements were as harmonious as nature itself. That day I was able to achieve this. I never cease to be amazed at how much practice changes people. My students tell me how their friends are literally surprised to see changes in character, posture and gait, and way of thinking. Whatever problem we tried to solve together with the student, I always found that the solution already exists in qigong. And again and again I turned to these ancient practices. Qigong is about taking care of yourself and at the same time about discovering incredible abilities within yourself. You cannot look from the outside and understand qigong. The pleasure of contemplation will be fleeting and superficial. Just as a flower that you yourself planted, watered and cared for makes you happy. Qigong will also deeply delight you if you get to know it better.
